Meet Dee Shoals

I am originally from Canada and I'm a graduate of Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. I also studied at the Traphagen School of Design in New York City.

As a full time Realtor® in Southern Fairfield County, I specialize in the towns of Wilton, Redding, Weston and Ridgefield, with occasional listings in New Canaan and Norwalk. After nearly a decade of working with sellers and buyers in this area, I do know that EXPERIENCE COUNTS! (Please see my testimonial page for some comments from my former clients.) I enjoy the challenge of marketing listings and dealing with real estate transactions in today's complicated and technology-oriented world.

I am also a licensed Interior Designer and have had my own corporation since 1980. Having such a background is very helpful in many ways, with both prospective buyers and sellers. My ability to visualize and offer practical or creative ideas has been well received! Experience in space planning allows me to do kitchen and bath designs on a referral basis. This satisfies my creativity and keeps me in touch with past and potential clients.

As an Antique and Vintage Specialist I have worked with many older homes in our area. In 1996, I completed the National Trust for Historic Preservation's Historic Real Estate Seminar, which provided training in the marketing and selling of historic homes. I also am a certified Prudential Fine Homes Specialist, indicating my experience in the marketing of new or older high-end properties.

And I am a member of Prudential's 'Presidents Circle', placing me among the top 5% of all Prudential Realtors nationwide.

All of this keeps me very busy, yet I find time to participate in the Wilton Historical Society, which is a productive and important part of town. I also have been a member of the University Women's Club in Ridgefield.

New England is a paradise for the sports enthusiast, and I enjoy much of what is available including golf, tennis, skiing, biking, boating and water aerobic classes at the YMCA. (You can't work all the time!!)

Hobbies include photography, writing and painting. I do all my own photography (except aerials) for my brochures and flyers. All of the photos you see on this web site are mine. I also write. My goal is to write a book, but that may take awhile...so in the meantime I practice my writing skills in Real Estate!

Last, but not least, I'm an animal lover, and Connecticut has an abundance of wildlife that are fun to watch. Our family includes four charming indoor cats that love to "help" me when I work at home. I enjoy watching deer nibble on bushes at the edge of the woods, and bird watching is also a very popular activity. If you're fortunate enough to live here, maybe you'll have beautiful and colorful red cardinals living in your yard year-round.
